I’m Norberto Sanchez an industrial designer/design researcher. Currently, I’m a Lead Industrial Designer at SharkNinja focusing on developing small home appliances where I've led Design programs for global markets focusing on corded and cordless projects, taking projects from concept to market, and collaborating with overseas developing partners, earning the Japanese "Good Design Award" recognition in 2021. Before that, I worked as a Design Manager at Ofimodul, an office furniture company in Monterrey, MX; Where I established the Design department, developing methodologies, roadmaps, and product strategies while leading the design team.
In the past, I collaborated with Higher education Institutions to teach design studios and core skill courses, finding the experience highly motivating and rewarding.
I'm also a DIY and maker enthusiast, always looking for new technologies and how they can be integrated into the design process. During my Master's Studies, I researched and got involved in how Virtual reality tools will impact design practice and education; research that I would like to continue and expand soon.
